Win a Pair of Tickets to the Good Food Show at the NEC, Birmingham in June

I'm really pleased to be able to offer you this fantastic competition here at Comfort Bites. It's a chance to win a pair of tickets to the Good Food Show Summer at the NEC in Birmingham. I went last year and loved it. You get the chance to see well known and celebrity chefs cooking on the stage - last year I saw James Martin hosting the live Saturday Kitchen show, and Glynn Purnell go head to head with an audience member for the omelette challenge. The format seemed a lot more informal than what you see on the telly - lots of jokes along with great recipes and demonstrations!

Both Glynn and James are lined up for this year too, as well as the Hairy Bikers, John Torode and Gregg Wallace, Masterchef 2012 champion Shelina Permaloo, Olly Smith and Michael Caines.

Another great thing about the show is that you can browse hundreds of food stalls at the Producers Village - you'll get to try samples, take a look at kitchen gadgets (one of my favourite bits!) and buy some fantastic produce. Some of the producers who have been confirmed for the event include Moofree, who make dairy-free chocolate; Tan Rosie, who sell a range of Caribbean sauces; and Sipsmith's and their award-winning spirits.

And that's not all! (as they say in the adverts!)

Your tickets will also include entry to BBC Gardeners World Live - so you can check out gardening tips from Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh, Carol Klein and Joe Swift.

This really is a great day out and travelling to the show isn't a nightmare either. The NEC is just a quick (undercover) travelator walk from Birmingham International Railway station. It couldn't be easier to get there.

The rules:
  • The giveaway is for one winner to win one pair of tickets for entry to the Good Food Show Summer 2012. The winner will be responsible for their own travel arrangements.
  • The Good Food Show Summer will take place at the NEC in Birmingham, between 13th-17th June 2012.
  • Tickets are for general admission excluding Saturday.
  • Tickets are non refundable and non-exchangeable.
  • Closing date for entries is Sunday 20th May, 2012.

Ready to enter? Of course you are!

  2. I like watching James Martin Cook as he is so natural and good-humoured. I also enjoy all the opportunities to taste food and drinks - very exciting as my family are not very adventurous . Our food buys tend to stay the same so that we do not risk items getting wasted. A visit to the food show might mean a more varied diet :)

  14. I hope that an exhibitor will have fried scorpions covered in milk chocolate or fried bugs as I am a fan of the bush tucker challenge and this will be the closest I could get to experience what the celebrities go through.
